Louann Dooly

Louann DoolyA native of North Little Rock, Ark., Louann Dooly is an adjunct music instructor at UAFS, teaching Applied Bassoon and Music Appreciation, and is a faculty member at the UAFS Academy of the Arts teaching double reeds. She received her undergraduate degree in Music Education from Arkansas Tech University (Russellville), and her master’s degree in Conducting from the University of Central Arkansas (Conway).

Musical Performances

Dooly has performed with many organizations, including the Inspiration Point Fine Arts Colony Opera Workshop, Little Rock Wind Symphony, Little Rock Winds Quintet, Pine Bluff Symphony, Conway Civic Orchestra, North Arkansas Symphony, Fort Smith Symphony, River Valley Community Band, Western Arkansas Chamber Choir, UAFS Symphonic Band and Fort Smith Chorale.

Special Achievements

Dooly is a member of the First United Methodist Church Chancel Choir of Fort Smith and serves as assistant conductor. She teaches junior high and senior high double reed students in Northwest Arkansas and the River Valley Public Schools. She has taught junior high and senior high band and choir. She also has choreographed auxiliary lines for bands across Arkansas.
