Department of Behavioral Sciences
The Department of Behavioral Sciences houses the disciplines of anthropology, psychology and sociology. We offer a bachelor’s degree in psychology and minor degrees in all three fields in the department. Dr. Rita Barrett is the department chair, heading a number of full-time and adjunct faculty.
Our programs are designed to prepare students to enter the workforce or graduate school. Our faculty are committed to honoring diversity, promoting human decency, engaging students in the classroom, performing community service, and conducting research. The curriculum is designed to promote creativity, imagination, higher-order thinking, cross-cultural knowledge and ethical principles.
Each year in the fall semester the department hosts a Psychology Symposium. Our symposia offer students an opportunity to gain valuable knowledge about professional careers and to showcase student research.
Psychology Club The Psychology Club meets twice a month
during the fall and spring semesters. You can
