I am an assistant professor in English, Rhetoric and Writing Department. I earned my doctorate from Bowling Green State University, where I specialized in digital writing and multimodal composition, writing pedagogy, and rhetorical theory. Recently, my research has turned toward investigating the phenomena and genre of the internet meme. Currently, I am examining the internet meme as space for gender politics and discourse, specifically examining the ways in which the genre subverts, redefines, and mediates notions of modern masculinity.
