I have been teaching at UAFS since 2003. I've taught a range of literature courses, including Introduction to Literary Studies (Lit Crit), 20th Century American Literature, The Short Story, The Novel, Postmodernism, African American Literature, Popular Culture, Toni Morrison, Horror Film, and Cultural Studies. I have also taught the American Literature 1865 to Present survey, and I regularly teach introductory composition courses. My research interests span all sorts of cultural studies areas, but most deal with identity politics and representation. One of my recent research projects studied food elitism and social class identification, and another explored the horror film and social class anxiety.
