Biographical Information

I am an Associate Professor and hold a Doctor of Arts in English from Idaho State University with an emphasis on rhetoric and composition, bibliography, and eighteenth century British literature. I am a peer reviewer for Higher Learning Commission Quality Initiative Proposals and serve on the university’s reaffirmation of accreditation Senior Leadership Team. I co-chair the Committee for the Assessment of Learning Outcomes (CALO) and chair the Promotions Committee for the College of Languages and Communications.  I have been a grant writer and an administrator, and I am certified to write technical and administrative procedure. My recent publications include co-authored articles entitled “Beyond the On-Campus Humanities Learning Experience: A Case Study in Utilizing Assessment Tools in an On-line Dance Studies Course” (Interdisciplinary Humanities, 31.1) and “Student Learning Outcomes: Changes in the Playing Field” (The International Journal of Pedagogy and Curriculum, 19.2). I enjoy traveling to visit sites of literary, archeological, and historical significance; backyard birding; and restoring vintage linens.
