Summer Music Camps
2020 University of Arkansas-Fort Smith
Band Camp and Jazz Band Camp Announcement:
We at UAFS hope this message finds you well and that your friends and loved ones are in good health and good spirits during this time. The COVID-19 pandemic has affected the daily lives of everyone across our nation and around the world.
The Board of Trustees of the University of Arkansas system met and voted to cancel all summer camps and conferences, both academic and athletic, which were scheduled for face-to-face delivery for summer 2020. UAFS will not be holding its Band Camp and Jazz Band Camp this summer.
I cannot begin to thank all of the music educators, students and families that have been a part of our camps over the past 20 years! Your continuous support of our camps has always been greatly appreciated and we look forward to serving Arkansas and Oklahoma's young music students in the near future. I wish you all well.

Our camp faculty members are highly trained musicians who have studied at some of the nation's most prestigious universities and music conservatories. Many have performed in the finest concert halls as soloists and with renowned orchestras, opera companies, jazz bands and wind ensembles. They also are excellent teachers dedicated to furthering the education of young musicians.
Students attending summer music camps may stay on campus at the Lion's Den, our student resident hall, which includes a computer lab for resident campers to check email and keep in touch with friends and family. A commuter option is also available for students who reside within driving distance.
All camps are held in the Breedlove Building, where students rehearse in both large and small ensembles.
Each weeklong camp culminates with a final performance on the UAFS Breedlove Auditorium stage. These performances are free and open to everyone.
